At Cracking The Chrysalis, you can expect to be held in your Highest by our expert team of facilitators, all of whom have been trained in various forms of therapeutic healing and coaching. You can expect to be held in community with your fellow CTC-ers, and offered compassion and support for your personal journey. You can expect to be held by the majestic land of the Diamanté Valley in Costa Rica, such that you will be infused with the magic of Earth’s abundant riches. You can expect to experience a week of reflection, opening, transformation, connection, and, of course, play! 

A Note on Expectations: 

We have also found that “expectations” can often limit the possibilities of what could be. So, we encourage you to lean into trusting your intuition (which can be challenging in this world!) and instead, create an intention for what you would like your Cracking The Chrysalis experience to help you manifest in your life.

The beauty of your preparation process for this experience is that our team is here to assist you, every step of the way. Not only do we have a full online portal with preparation materials and assessments for you to complete, but also–the moment you say “yes” to Cracking The Chrysalis, our team pairs you with one of our lead facilitators to be your personal coach and guide for the entire journey. You will meet with your personal coach for a 60-75 minute preparation session, in which you can describe what you are experiencing in life and work together to get clear on your intention. Additionally, you will meet with Chef Ashley, our lead culinary and holistic health expert, who will help you design practices that will prepare your physical body for our time together.

If you are reading this now, that is a great start! Generally, we find that individuals who have experienced or are experiencing a life shift or change of any sort, and who find themselves drawn to community service are ready to attend a Cracking The Chrysalis. 

Changes could manifest as:

• Divorce or break up
• New/burgeoning relationship
• Job or industry shift
• Death in the immediate family or community
• Personal spiritual death or near death experience
• Overcoming or moving through a time of great personal struggle
• Ready for something “new” or different in life, but not sure what it is!

Community service or leadership could manifest as:

• Creative service–art, music or other creative expression
• Social or community activism
• Leader in your family system 
• Entrepreneurship or desire to found a “new way of Being/doing”
• Desire to shift existing systems from within (e.g. leader in a corporation)

Our event is held at Holos Basecamp, in the Diamanté Valley of Costa Rica. The gorgeous retreat space is located about one hour inland of the coastal town known as Quepos, near Manuel Antonio. At least one month before our time together, our team will send out a comprehensive travel and logistics message which will give you clarity on flights, arrival times, departure times, and a recommended packing list. Generally, we request that you arrive into the Quepos Airport (QXP) between 3-5 pm on the first day of the retreat and depart from QXP after 1 pm on the last day.

During our week together, we hold two ceremonies with two very Sacred medicines. Each ceremony is designed to activate new layers of your Self, such that you may “get to know” new and deeper sides of YOU! These ceremonies are both communal as well as individual. You may choose to go “inward” as much or as often as you like, and there will also be designated moments and space to commune with your fellow CTC-ers, should that feel of service to your journey. Please review the information below for specific details on the medicines and lineages of our ceremonies.

1st Ceremony | Earth Ally Medicine

The first of our two ceremonies will be in partnership with a beautiful collection of ally plant-derived compounds. Each derivative blend primarily contains sassafras, also known as MDA, or a close analogue, and is carefully crafted and standardized in a lab by a team of purposeful and deeply caring chemists. These heart-opening ally plant compounds offer us access to the wisdom of our heart intelligence, allowing us to bring our body into what is known as “heart coherence.” The benefits of this include falling deeper in love with ourselves, increasing our compassion for Self and Others, experiencing new levels of intimacy and connection, and much, much more. We find that this new “template” for accessing heart energy is invaluable for leaders during this global time of struggle and division.

A Note on lineage:

The sacred medicines worked with for our first ceremony, such as Kanna, have roots in ancient indigenous cultures, like the Khoekhoen, a nomadic pastoralist indigenous population of southwestern Africa; and, in the case of MDA, a modern therapeutic tradition with over a 50-year history originating with the work of Dr. Alexander Shulgin, which now serves as the foundation for all current clinical research trials using MDMA in both the UK and the US. The MDA-based compounds we work with have been extensively used with several hundred thousand participants over the past two decades.

2nd Ceremony | Psilocybin Plant ‘Trinity"

In the second of our two ceremonies, we will engage with our community-cultivated Master Teacher Plant, known as Trinity.

Trinity is a harmonizing medicine that blends the power of three psilocybin strains: PE6, Tidal Wave and Aztec God. This sub-genetic blend allows for balanced healing on the three central energy systems of the body—known as the Lower, Middle and Upper Dantians (elixir fields) in Chinese energy medicine. Trinity is both gentle and direct, allowing you to dive deep into the places within your Being that are calling for more healing and activation, while remaining embodied for easeful real-life integration. This community-cultivated Sacrament is grown with abundant love, focused intention and deep reverence for its power. We believe that as each person engages with this medicine, it becomes even more connective and supportive to our entire House of Embodied Metamorphosis Community.

A Note on Lineage:

This medicine and its ceremony have been birthed from a Judeo-Christian lineage in the United States of America. If and when we include rituals from other lineages–such as burning sage or palo santo from the South and MesoAmerican cultures–we give gratitude and credit to those traditions.

…you live happily ever after, of course!! (Just kidding–this isn’t a Disney movie 😉). 

We believe that after Cracking The Chrysalis is when the real integration begins. After you experience the seed of transformation within our onsite container, now it’s time to “test” these shifts in the real world. The word “test” is apt because it can feel like the Universe/Great Mystery/Collective Consciousness is testing you to your limits. That’s ok! That’s why we offer two post-integration calls. You will meet for another 60-75 minute call with your personal coach, and then for a 90 minute group call with your Cracking The Chrysalis cohort. 

Because we know that integration is the most important part of this journey, you now have access to our monthly community calls! Our Metamorphosis team offers 60 minute group calls on the second Wednesday of every month. We will add you to the Google calendar invite so you receive the details for those calls each month.
